Norske Skog Boyer LDP Program - 2009

BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management

The FLMDP (Frontline Management Development Program) is a program to build the skills of FLMs and other workplace leaders so that they are better able to support the workforce and achieve the organisation’s goals.

The NS BOYER FLMDP contains Frontline Management qualifications and is different from traditional management programs. It is innovative because it locates the primary learning in the workplace. This empowers the company to make their own decisions about ways to improve frontline management competence.

FLMs play a key role at NS BOYER. They need a range of skills, knowledge and understanding to manage their own performance and that of others, as well as the important operations relating to their work. Every day, NS BOYER FLMs coordinate and influence their teams to get the job done in the best and most effective way possible.
The FLMDP is not a traditional training program. The focus is on individual learning in the workplace. Learning in the workplace makes the learning more applicable to the organisation and more meaningful to participants.

The FLMDP at NS BOYER is a key investment in NS BOYER’s future. Strong leadership greatly enhances our prospects of success in the long term.

The NS BOYER leadership development program is a significant initiative in enhancing business improvement and in getting the most out of the recent Leading Change initiative.
