Upgrade to the new Cert IV in TAA in Sydney WEEKDAYS

RPL and Face-to-face Combination Course for BSZ holders

Upgrading to the new Certificate IV in TAA is easy with Corelink.

Our Combination Course is a fast way to upgrade your qualification. The number of days you attend will depend on the number of competencies for which you are eligible to obtain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Therefore, if you want RPL you have two options:

Option 1: 3 Day Upgrade Course
This option suits candidates who can demonstrate current competency in all the TAA units that have full equivalence and partial equivalence to BSZ units. You will address the gaps for the units with partial equivalence via RPL and you will attend days 1 to 3 below.

Option 2: 5 Day Upgrade Course
This option suits candidates who can demonstrate current competency in all the TAA units that have full equivalence to the BSZ units. You will then complete the units that have partial equivalence by attending days 1 to 5 in the schedule below.

How is assessment conducted?

The 14 Units of competency in this qualification have been organised into an off-the-job training program which follows a thematic problem solving approach to learning.  The program is non-Enterprise specific and uses general workplace training and assessment system policies, procedures, and templates.  The major outcome of the program is to meet the requirement for nationally recognised and qualified workplace trainers and assessors.

Competency in all or any units will be assessed over a period of time, in a range of contexts, and on multiple occasions involving a combination of direct, indirect and supplementary forms of evidence.  During face-to-face hours, assessment methods will include observation, questioning, and collecting completed documentation and underpinning knowledge questions.  During self directed learning hours, assessment methods may include third party reports by Supervisors, and completed documentation.   The units have been integrated for delivery, and assessed holistically to simulate work tasks rather than competency units.

The program is completed by RPL using the Corelink RPL procedure or a combination of RPL and trainer based learning and assessment to complete the gap.

Note: Candidates for this qualification should hold a workplace skill that can be taught to others in the workplace.  If you are not currently employed, you need to speak to a Corelink representative regarding this course.  In order to complete the course you will need to arrange workplace training and assessment sessions.
