Who we are

Corelink is proud of its staff.  We only choose to work with professionals who are passionate about helping people to learn.

It's important to be challenged, not stressed, when you are learning something new. Corelink's people support and challenge students to be the best they can be.  Distance learners sign 'coaching contracts' with their coaches to create that kind of relationship.

Senior Consultants are experienced at working with organisations to create strong business partnerships and implement organisational change.

John Lund

Senior Consultant/Lead Assessor

John LundJohn Lund brings over 25 years training experience to Corelink.

The second half of this experience has been training adults to become trainers. John was responsible for the Royal Australian Air Force’s Train the Trainer School throughout the 1990s. He converted its ‘Systems Approach’ to Training to ANTA’s ‘Competency Based’ Training Reform Agenda which produced the current Cert IV and Diploma courses in Training and Assessment.

As a development of those changes during the late 1990’s John introduced into the Australian Defence Force, a suite of courses designed to gain civilian accreditation for its leadership and management courses. The accreditation was in Frontline Management.

John’s philosophy in training adults is very simple: adults can and must take responsibility for their learning. The trainer’s role is to remove any barriers that may be coming between the student and the student’s goal. Some typical barriers include: lack of confidence, time constraints, misunderstanding content, lack of direction, insufficient feedback. In short John believes that every student is capable of success, with the appropriate support.

John has graduated literally hundreds of competent trainers, many who came to the course kicking and scratching and terrified at the thought of having to train someone or speak publicly.

Robert Scott

Senior Consultant

Bob has been working over many years with people in a variety of workplaces, sporting codes and different countries to assist their performance and realisation of their potential.

Bob has worked at senior manager level as a HR professional in both the public and private sector in Australia, the United Kingdom and Malaysia.  He has also provided consultancies to a range of companies including the mining industry, the wool combing industry, the dairy industry and the banking industry.

Bob saw active service in Vietnam and ‘peace time service’ in Malaysia in a military career with the RAN and the RAAF of almost 22 years.  During that time he was in charge of a number of Squadrons and led and contributed to significant military training projects including development of the Certificate of Technology Apprentice scheme conducted jointly with Melbourne RMIT and the development of competency based trade training for Aircraft Electrical Fitters and Airframe Fitters.
Bob also had extensive experience in delivering workplace trainer courses and eventually led development of the Squadron delivering management and instructional methods training to RAAF personnel Australia wide into a school in its own right.

Bob holds a Master of Business (Human Resource Management) from Charles Sturt University, a Bachelor of Arts (Education) from Deakin University, a Certificate IV - Workplace Assessor, is an accredited workplace auditor and recently completed the attendance component of a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.

A significant learning for Bob over forty plus years at work has been the realisation that qualifications don’t take up much room in one’s luggage but they can certainly open up plenty of opportunities!

For Bob, it is this belief in the power of learning and development as a tool for people to realise their dreams, goals and objectives that keeps him excited and committed to helping others learn and grow.
