How is assessment conducted?

After the 5 days, participants collect evidence, complete assessment activities and compile a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates competence in the above units. During this time, participants attend a structured, coached distance program.

The 14 Units of competency in this qualification have been organised into an off-the-job training program which follows a thematic problem solving approach to learning.  The program is non-Enterprise specific and uses general workplace training and assessment system policies, procedures, and templates.  Competency in all or any units will be assessed over a period of time, in a range of contexts, and on multiple occasions involving a combination of direct, indirect and supplementary forms of evidence.  During Face to Face hours, assessment methods will include observation, questioning, and collecting completed documentation and underpinning knowledge questions.  During self directed learning hours assessment methods may include third party reports by qualified Supervisors, and completed documentation.   The units have been integrated for delivery, and assessed holistically to simulate work tasks rather than competency units.

Note: Candidates for this qualification should hold a workplace skill that can be taught to others in the workplace.  If you are not currently employed, you need to speak to a Corelink representative regarding this course.  In order to complete the course you will need to arrange workplace training and assessment sessions.
